There is a specific kind of magic that happens when you take a vessel designed to hunt Soviet submarines in the Atlantic and scale it down to rule your local pond.
During the tense dawn of the Cold War, the United States Coast Guard realized it needed a very specific tool: a fast, rugged, shallow-draft cutter that could sprint into the waves, drop a pattern of anti-submarine ordnance, and survive brutal coastal weather. The answer was the 95-foot Cape-Class Patrol Boat.
With their distinct, angular aluminum superstructures sitting on unforgiving steel hulls, these cutters spent decades conducting critical search-and-rescue operations, drug interdiction, and maritime safety patrols. They were loud, they were tough, and they were utterly reliable.

At EnDTaS, we didn’t want to just create another static plastic shelf ornament. Following the release of our popular USCG Point Class Cutter, we went back to the blueprints to deliver its ultimate historical companion.
The result? A magnificent, fully RC-ready 1:34 scale replica engineered specifically to bring maritime history alive on the water.
The Engineering: Serious Hull Architecture, No Assembly Nightmares
If you have ever built a large-scale RC boat, you know the dread of warping hulls, misaligned seams, and spending forty hours with sandpaper before you even see the water. We designed this file pack to completely eliminate that frustration.
Despite packing over 175 high-poly STL files and an incredibly detailed full-color 3MF file, the main hull breaks down into just four primary pieces. Every single piece is optimized to print flawlessly on standard, everyday 22x22x25 cm FDM desktop printers.
To make assembly as foolproof as possible, we integrated heavy-duty attachment flanges and alignment guide holes directly into the printable geometry. They slide together perfectly, providing a rock-solid, watertight bond with minimal effort.
Fully RC-Optimized from the Inside Out
We didn’t just hollow out a 3D model and call it a day. This boat was built from the keel up to be a working, dynamic radio-controlled platform:
- Pre-Engineered Drivetrain: The propeller shaft tunnel features a clean 8.25mm bore, perfectly sized for standard hobby-grade shaft sleeves.
- Integrated Power Mounts: The details required to install swappable DC motor brackets and steering servo mounts are already built cleanly into the internal framing.
- Unrivaled Internal Access: No more tweezers or shaking the boat upside down to fix a loose wire. The entire front and rear decks feature massive, hyper-detailed access hatches.
- The Ultimate Superstructure Hatch: The iconic bridge house acts as one giant, seamlessly removable hatch. We’ve pre-modeled precision screw holes into the mating surfaces, giving you the choice to fasten the deck down securely with hardware or easily enlarge the holes to drop in strong neodymium magnets for a quick-release setup.
One Hull, Three Eras of Maritime History
The best part of this file pack is its adaptability. Because the Cape Class served from the 1950s all the way through the 1980s, their deck configurations changed dramatically.
